day 5

After leaving a massive dump at Lake Louise early in the morning it was a tough decision to head for Golden, BC to ride Kicking Horse. We decided to go for it as this was a road trip after all! About 45 minutes into the drive the deep snow we had left in Louise was gone and it was raining. The further we got the more it rained and debated turning back to go to the Lake where we knew the snow was good and dry!

We stuck to our guns and arrived in Golden early and to our pleasure found that it had had even more snow than the lake and by the time we got off the gondola we were riding some pretty damn good, deep snow! Some of the steeps were loaded with the goodness!! We rode all day long again and it was incredible. We then went and stayed in a nice place and got a massive well earnt sleep! Photo is of me heading to the trees where it was loaded with deep powder. I remember laughing hysterically, it was hard to contain myself. Adam was the same! Although wet at the bottom which is something we dont experience at Louise it was still incredible on the rest of the mountain.
