Purple gladiolus

This is the first of the gladioli to flower in the bed outside our spare bedroom window. It's interesting that it matches our garden furniture - almost like a plea to me not to change the colour (but I will).

After seeing off our overnight guests LauraMuir and Winsford, I set to work on restocking soup supplies. I made three batches: carrot and lemon; roast pepper and tomato; and root vegetable.

This afternoon I yardened. It's all looking much neater at the front now. Tomorrow I will turn my attention to the back garden.

Exercise today: none (other than yardening).
