Bee friendly
After Bavaria's massive, record-breaking Yes vote to a referendum termed "Save the Bees" in 2019 for a much stricter environmental policy, measures are picking up. One of these is to have 40,000 kilometres of strips along motorways and state roads planted with wildflowers. That's once around the world.
I don't think this is part of it but a measure one is seeing more & more in villages. Not sure if this patch is from the parish council or the owner of the house on the left. In Germany people are responsible for clearing any public pavements alongside their property and generally also take on keeping any green patches between their property & road clean & tidy.
Today another rain showers and sunshine, cool day. Started with me wandering around outdoors half naked in the morning being inspected by a healthcare person. She is from a private company contracted by the national health service to take care of people with certain usually chronic health issues. I think it applies to things like Diabetics where you pay a monthly prescription of €10 and get all the medication and equipment (syringes, blood-sugar monitors, swabs etc) you need which includes home visits should you need advice, help etc.
Luckily the rain held off as she poked, pinched and inspected me! Was a useful visit, the first one from her and first one for about 3 years, but I had an issue that couldn't be properly identified by photos I sent on Friday, and so she came today.
However, this evening when I left the house with Luna for the evening walk in glorious sunshine, and when the main photo was taken, the skies turned black. Luna agreed to go about 1 kilometre, but then lay down and wouldn't budge an inch. I didn't notice her as I was busy Tweeting a video of the contrast of black & blue skies until about 100 metres away. Whenever she 'feels' thunder on the way, she strikes. Had no choice but to turn around and head home. She was right, and we got caught out by the rain and not because I had to stop to have a chat with a farmer friend mowing some fresh grass for his cows (Extra photo).
