Pollen Gathering on Giant Golden Rod

A visit to Bellahouston Park, the Hospice charity collection point to be more specific. Boot emptied I moved the car nearer to the walled garden and then went for a walk.

I was really looking for butterflies ..... ideal weather .... very still and warm but not a butterfly to be seen so I had to make do with this rather large Buff Tailed Bumble Bee on a pollen gathering mission on some giant golden rod.
