The Painted Lady and the Buddleia

Today's the day .......................... for an abundance

I think I've seen more butterflies in the last couple of days, than I have in the whole summer so far.

It must be something to do with the still, warm air - and the sunshine - of the past few days that has brought them out in their multitudes.  Their favourite place to be in this garden, is on the buddleia bush, which is to be expected.  But what I didn't expect, were all the Painted Ladies that had joined the Peacocks, Tortoiseshells and Red Admirals that were also there.

It was a glorious sight .....................!
