A simple palette
Not much around here to overexert the cone cells in your fovea centralis. On a day where the sun isn't shining, just imagine the absence of the cyan.
Despite unseasonably chilly temps we both got major bees in our bonnets and on the spur of the moment, decided to drive half hour north to view a few of the Spring Parade Model Homes listed this year. Even though we have no intention of moving, we thought it might be fun to see what our budget would get us in the genre of newly built, detached town homes with an association taking care of snow removal and us taking care of a small yard. Was pleasantly surprised but have a bit of a headache from the fumes of the building materials and carpeting. It's just not us either, all that new new new everything but there is something appealing about not having to do a thing when you move in. I think our days of knocking out walls and doing all that work ourselves are over.
Green homes are quite well represented in this year's line up, but way more expensive, which makes no sense at all. It should be the norm and will probably be, some day. Surprising as well was the amount of new construction going on. What economic crunch and housing slump?
Conclusion: we'll stay put, ride it out. I like being close to the city.
