A stuffed last day
We really went for it today.
We caught a ferry to St Mawes, wandered around and had a coffee, caught another ferry to Place, hiked a fair distance around the peninsula with an hours jaunt down to a beach, back onto the ferry to St Mawes, snacked on a yummy tea because we couldn’t find pasties anywhere, caught another ferry back to Falmouth and ordered fish & chips takeaway, that needed to be collected later.
We were particularly beat by the evening, especially as some of us had run in the morning, and so hopped in the car to collect our hot food. But the car had a flat battery so Elbows and I ran to the chippy and speed walked back.
A big day for all of us. Mabel hadn’t been on a boat before so it was big for her too. And Cholmeley is an old dog and he had to jump up and over styles so it was a big day for him too.
Phew.
