Sally Mair - Loving life

By Sallymair

Back again!

I'm not sure who is the more confused by the appearance of this wisteria flower, me or it! Definitely the wrong season but none the less welcome.
Thank you for all the nice comments and stars for my Matryoshka doll yesterday, she was a great find.
Sunday today so church and.... (drum roll).... we no longer have to have table service for coffee people may collect their own, they just have to wear masks when walking around and avoid queuing. The other exciting news is that apparently we can have vertical drinking... we didn't know what it was either... we are permitted to be maskless and to drink it standing up rather than only when sitting at a table, of most use when standing at a bar I think. As the Rector said, we're not sure exactly what a horizontal coffee is....?..... Maybe it's what you have when you've had too many vertical pints, Stephen! Hopefully not a question we'll need to answer in the church hall at after service coffee time.
Dropped in to see Katy, Jon and the girls this afternoon, the girls were having fun playing on their bikes with a little boy who lives round the corner. Eilidh got a bit annoyed that she never won any races because there wasn't room to overtake the other two, so I got them doing timed tag team races instead, that was fun.
Back home I did some sewing, out in the garden to the annoyance of the cats who sat on the window sill calling me to come in! It was another mild day although I believe it was foggy first thing, I missed that though! The seasons have definitely turned though, the day cools off earlier. Autumn is just around the corner I fear.
I realise that yet again I have missed Stockbridge Market, I keep meaning to go down on a Sunday afternoon and then it's teatime and I realise the day has run away from me again. Ah well!
A quiet evening is ahead, I'm going to have a long soak in some Pentland Aromatics bath salts I think.
The positive test rates are romping up once again. I'm interested to see that they are going to do anti-body tests now, but only for those who test positive. I'm sure there are many of us who would like to know just what level of anti- bodies we actually have, especially as so many cases have apparently been asymptomatic. Keep safe everybody.
