In to Skibbereen today for some essentials. It was rammed! The market was on and buzzing and the streets were still full of cheer for the Olympians - can you see them? There was also a rather good band blasting out some old favourites near the bridge - the singer sounded remarkably like Sting! We had gone in to see an exhibition: West Cork Creates , nicely described here as always by Roaringwater Journal.  It's an annual exhibition and never fails to impress with its wide variety of media, this year everything from stained glass to ceramics, painting to photography were selected. 
A pleasant day weather-wise too and a swim has just been taken. The water temperature has dropped but the good news is the jellies seem to have gone.
