The Road Home

My Dear Princess and Dear Friends,

So I had covid-jag 1 today. Apparently, Aotearoa has now vaccinated 25% of the population, so I am one of the quarter. 

Caro has her first jag scheduled for next month. 

The centre was 30 minutes away from our house, but it was a nice day for a walk. Because I am me, I had actually planned this trip so I could swing by the Turkish restaurant on my way home to pick up dinner. 

But all my pre-planning came to naught. 

Stupid delta variant.

Nevertheless, the centre was well-run and efficient, and the staff were nice. They made me hang around for 20 minutes to ensure I did not die. 

I complied, and live on. 

And on my way home I stopped to take this picture. This is Paraparaumu. It is refreshingly flat and it smells vaguely of the many wood-burning stoves people have here. 

So a nice day, and a lovely walk. Despite lack of Turkish food.
