Job done!

So the veranda step is now finished, which means the approach to the veranda is no longer a muddy affair. At the same time we get a step to sit on. The answer to the problem of lining up the planks in the new step with the planks on the veranda was to cut all the planks and place them in position before fixing them down. There's still a few bits and pieces to tidy up or fix but the main job is done.
