Old and older

On the right, the garden wall of Rock Cottage, the oldest house in Portobello/Joppa, built in the 17th century. If the wall was built with the house then it would be 300-400 years old, although it has probably been rebuilt, perhaps completely, in that time. On the left, and to be fair, also represented in the stones in the wall, are the Passage Formation sandstones on Joppa beach - something like 320 million years old.
