Floody hell!
The current view from my back door.
It's been raining heavily and non-stop all day today. The field at the top of our slopey garden got so water logged it gave up and sent a river gushing down our garden. It was quite dramatic seeing the steps turn into a waterfall - proper gushing white water (although it steadily became brown and stinky as time went on) and quite disconcerting to see how quickly and how deeply it was pooling up outside the back door. Luckily I live in a cosy little village where people are always willing to help each other out so I'm now sandbagged in and ready for yet more heavy rain that's forecast overnight. Fingers crossed.
(just to illustrate how scary it was, my first thought was 'I need to get some help', not 'I need to blip this'!)
