For the first time in forever

I just had to borrow that line from the song.
The last time I ate in a restaurant was over a year ago. This was a lunch meeting I had with Randy, a long time friend.
Just the fact of getting out and about to pick up a few things, get my car serviced, and then meet for lunch was like a breath of fresh air in what is otherwise a fairly solitary existence.
That will probably change this weekend as the Caps get to play their first game in the home stadium in about a year, and fans are allowed. 
But for now, it was a good day.

Ah well...
