Old Man’s Beard

Two versions. Ha ha.

Today I spent the morning with my good friend Ann. She is also an artist and quite a few years ago we shared a studio. Today we walked down the Urban Trail through the dog park and past the heronry. On our way up we stopped for ice cream for lunch before heading to my house where we started. Then I showed her a bunch of the work I’ve been doing during Covid. We both agreed we want to spend more time together. I took the plant photo along the trail. The little sketch of Shelly I did later in the day. Tonight I researched the plant and found it is called “Old Man’s Beard.” Seemed like I should post both the plant and the man.
