The dropped stitch

Another West Mainland Day

This morning three of us visited L at the care home.
We met a member of staff who was the embodiment of the person one would want to be entrusted with your care or the care of a loved one. Her tone of voice, her quiet attention to detail, her kind, caring and efficient manner. I wanted to hug her and say: 'Thank you for doing such a wonderful job'.
Of course, no hugging is allowed - but I did say a good many thank yous.

One of my afternoon photos was of the old board from the Sandwick Parish Church. The church itself is not an imposing building and was sold off many years ago, I think, but I like that this small part of its history was preserved.
