Lulla-Bye, Princes Street Gardens
This 8 feet high / 2.5 tonne elephant sculpture, Lulla-Bye, was created by sculptor Andy Scott. It sits in Princes Street Gardens West and is very popular with familes - kids climb all over it. The sculpture was unveiled in 2019 and is a memorial to the babies whose ashes were buried at Mortonhall without the knowledge of the parents. The elephant was chosen as it's said elephants never forget and the surface is embossed with forget-me-not flowers.
