High Brown Fritillary …
…. I think it is anyway. Glad I didn’t have time to cut back all the buddleia in the past month. (The High Brown Fritillary Argynnis adippe is Britain’s most threatened butterfly. This species has lost 85 per cent of its population since the 1970s.)
Thanks for all your concern for Preston. The surgeon is sure he fell off the roof, he did it before when he was a year old and I saw it happen. Then he got away scot free. He had to go to another vet’s close to home this morning, he had managed to break two stitches at the top of his wound in the night. Otherwise he has slept most of the day and we can climb into his cage (where he has food, water, a litter tray and his carrier) to stroke and comfort him. Maybe I can go for a walk tomorrow!
