The Great Tapestry of Scotland

What a day - we accepted the invitation to view the new home of 'The Great Tapestry of Scotland'. Stitchers from all over Scotland to view the building and enjoy the hospitality of staff in Galashiels. The official opening is Thursday 26th August. The Tapestry is beautifully displayed and lit. So hard to choose blips - every detail reflects the sewing theme. Every table in the cafe is decorated with a different stitch and each toilet carries on the theme! Every stitcher is remembered on the banners which adorn the wall leading to the main gallery.
