A Sinking Ship

Dear O'H dear and Lovely Tea Jenny,

When I went for a drink with Richie and Marina on Friday, Richie told us that he has been offered another job.

We were delighted but he is the person we both phone to ask complicated questions so it’s frankly SELFISH. Yes it is more money and much better hours and benefits but nevertheless, SELFISH.

He resigned today after working there for 30 years, citing work-life balance as his main reason for leaving. I am pretty sure I heard the sound of managers’ chins hitting off desks from afar!
