Ring Around The Cactus

I posted a fishhook barrel cactus about a week ago. At the time I mentioned that if a bunch of buds bloom simultaneously they would encircle the crown of the cactus. I found one today!!  Then I saw another but figured one was enough.

I picked up my trifocals. I have been using progressive lenses but could never adjust to them. Now I have the lines. I'm an old fogie! Speaking of old (and very cute), listen to this voicemail from grandma.  It will make you smile.

In other news, I spoke with Reno brother for his birthday Sunday.  We’re the same age for a week. :-)  I pestered him again today. He's my go to person for household improvement advice, among other things. 
Last night I spoke with Albuquerque brother for almost 2 hours. I learned more than I needed to know about Fantasy Football but he was really excited to explain it to his clueless sister. It was nice. The only part of the conversation I didn't enjoy was hearing the possibility of him taking a new CEO job at a casino near Seattle. If that's what he wants, I'm happy for him.
