Sacramento Sculpture

I should not have been able to take this photograph as our original flight was direct from Seattle to Phoenix. However, we awoke (at 4:30 am I might add) to the news our flight had been cancelled. We were rebooked on a flight to Sacramento (where we changed planes), then Burbank and finally Phoenix (where we would arrive six hours later than our original schedule). To add insult to injury, the air conditioning on the plane from Sacramento did not work while on the ground. It was hot loading, but not near as hot as sitting on the tarmac in Burbank for an hour in 32º (90ºF) heat. Of course, those traveling onward from Phoenix, on the same plane, had it worse. The temperature there was 39º (102ºF) when we landed.
