Oil painting cleaning

I used to work as a picture framer and restorer so a friend asked me if I could have a go at cleaning up this painting that he found in his loft. It turns out that this was the only photo that I have taken today! It is certainly cleaner and brighter, and now we can read the artist’s name and the title. Before cleaning they just looked like reeds at the bottom of the painting. I think he will be pleased when he sees it.
