More work
Today we received 114 (one hundred and fourteen) granite palisades for our new terrace. Well, for one side of the terrace.
That means the next couple of days you will hardly see me other than in our garden.
The palisades came on a big lorry. Due to its size and weight it could not get close to our house, and it is not allowed to halt your car at the nearest bigger street. So, we had to find another place to park them. Luckily for us there is a lot of space for trucks a couple of hundred metres away.
After the lorry left, D. and I brought the palisades to our garden using my trailer on the street and two wheelbarrows between street and final destiny.
3,400kg, approximately, so 5 rides with the trailer, a lot more with the wheelbarrows. And we lifted these palisades first into the trailer, then into the wheelbarrows and then onto the pallets near where we will use them. Our backs and arms are getting stronger and stronger ... (or sorer and sorer).
Hanulli took a picture of the palisades in our garden, have a look here.
