Montacute house

We went for a short bike ride, then had lunch at Monk's Yard. There's a wool shop there and I bought a crochet kit. They had some wonderful yarns but the owner kept coming and talking to me when I was trying to put a pattern and yarn together in my head, so I gave up in the end.

Then we drove to Montacute House which is Elizabethan. There's a lot to see there including lots of pictures, some on loan from the National Portrait Gallery.

A busy day but a fun one.
