Echinacea purpurea

After a failed attempt the year before, I sowed the seeds for these pink Echinacea during the first lockdown last year. They didn't really put on much growth, and I thought they might not come to much, but they've finally flowered! Not the best examples but they do add a bit of welcome colour and cheer at this time of year.

Talking of which, today was the first day of the school Autumn term for H. It all starts early here but I think she enjoyed seeing all her friends again. Plus I cut down our mini-meadow as the flowers had all set seed. Can't be long till we have to get the warmer clothes out...
