La Tour de Goa

I have blipped this Napoleonic defence tower before but today we saw it from a distance as we walked up to the refuge at Marseilles. The walk up was mostly through the woods following a cool stream so we did not overheat this week. It was quite a steep climb with around 650 metres of ascent up to 1,700 metres and 10 kilometres in total. A few of us stopped for ice creams on the way back followed by tea and cake. I felt a bit tired after yesterday's tennis but managed the walk ok.
