Over the sea to..

Came back from the dentist in Lochinver via the Drumbeg coast road, specifically to get this blip. It's a lovely single track road with passing places, twisting and turning it's way through the Sutherland wilderness. There are beaches, and burns, and waterfalls, and lochs, and hills, and views to die for. Every way you look, stunning coastlines, snow topped mountains, and at Drumbeg, there's a car park, and view point (not that it's the only viewpoint!).

And from here, you can see Northwards. The islands in the foreground are in teh sea loch, Loch Drumbeg. There are two islands halfway out, lit by sunlight, meall mor and meall beag (meall is gaelic for lump, so big lump and little lump!). Beyond those is the mass of Handa Island, with it's cliffs on the west side just visible above meall mor. And then, just about centre of picture is Scouriemore. I guess this is the reverse shot of this one taken frohttp://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2747234 a bit to the left of Stoer point.

A day of brilliant sunshine between periods of shade, pleasant, but cold SE wind..
