Bus Pass Walk

The forecast wasn’t bad for today, but as we caught the bus to town there was a misty haze in the valley which turned out to be drizzle. Not too wet though, and too warm to don my waterproof. A walk along the canal and through Hirst Wood, and we had to make an “extra” coffee stop as we had set a precedent the last time we walked that way - well it is good coffee!  Got rather excited to see an otter in the nature reserve, but it ran off before I could get my camera focussed! The intention was to walk back along the river, but we had already turned back onto the canal so continued that way. Took a few photos, but was walking and talking as I did so, and most of them were a bit blurry, so the canal image was the only decent shot. Shows how quiet it was - not even that many bikes today.  Another refreshment stop at The Loft in town.  Tried the soup of the day - sweet  potato and apple - interesting flavour! Good walk and great company as always!
