Butterfly on a teasel

We managed to fit in a bike ride in between the frequent and often heavy rain showers, though it seems we were pretty lucky to stay dry! We decided to do a different section of the bike trail today, starting near Milford, and heading south. When we arrived at the trailhead, there was a group of three returning from their ride, and Roger asked them if they’d stayed dry - they said no! When we returned, from our 16 miles return, we had hardly got in the car, and the rain returned, and persisted most of the afternoon! I didn’t take many pictures, but I did capture this little somewhat bedraggled Skipper butterfly on one of the many teasels along the trail. Otherwise, a pretty nondescript day, doing my usual sort of things. I’m feeling rather despondent at present, partly due to the predominant grey skies and depressing news.
