Himalayan balsam
The low cloud has set in here in the south west. The sun in August has been in very short supply in stark contrast with July’s heatwave!
Today we visited this garden centre on the edge of Cheltenham. A stream runs through it and we were surprised to see this invasive plant, Himalayan balsam, burgeoning on the stream bank. We have noticed this invasive species well established across the U.K. now.
We don’t yet have our new house purchase legally concluded yet. We hope it will happen soon. In the meantime we are busy planning the planting in our new garden. T picked up some bargain plants here today. The rental house garden is beginning to look a little like a show garden at RHS Chelsea!
