8 days post op

Thank you for all your get well wishes and enquiries about Mum, who had an eye operation last Monday. Her eye is steadily improving; still very sore at times, but the wound seems to be healing and the lid is now almost able to close fully.

I thought it would be nice to update you all.

The bruising in her face is now a yellowish area around the left cheek. The eye itself has to be soothed with drops and antibiotic ointment four times a day.

We had a quiet day today.

I needed to rest and recover after last night's tiredness.

Julie called this afternoon and we had a good natter, mainly about party arrangements. I'm trying to organise but not over organise the event. I'm sure it will be great on the day.

More surprises are planned too.
