Amandi

Amandi is a village, or maybe it´s better described as a suburb, on the road heading south out of Villaviciosa. It forms part of the Camino de Santiago, and the 13th century (so Romanesque) church of San Xuan (or San Juan) de Amandi is recognised as a fine specimen of its kind. From the road, San Xuan is located on top of a small hillock. This photo, taken from the river,  shows part of Amandi looking up towards the church.
