148.6 million kilometres

As the photos are now getting to be a bit monotonous and predictable I thought I would add some snippets of information to enliven the mood. Using my reliable although slightly rusty and wobbly measuring tape I can safely say that as this shot was taken, the Sun was exactly 92.875 million miles away. The light that hit the sensor had set off from the surface of the Sun some 8.25 minutes previously. I have trouble measuring the speed of light with my tape so that last bit is only approximate.
