Raised beds

The raised beds that I bought at the supermarket and filled with compost from the recycling centre have proved very useful. This is the second crop of lettuces that I have had this year. I went to the market in the morning and did some jobs. There were just four of us at French conversation this afternoon. We did not do any formal work, reading articles or translation, but just chatted under the shade of the tree for an hour or so. I’m gathering my energy for tennis tonight but won’t stop too late as we have quite a tough walk tomorrow.
