Nara

No need for a raincoat today :) The sun shone and it was warm - at least for some of the day. We spent the day in Nara, a treasure trove of shinto and Buddhist shrines combined with lovely parks and 1200 protected deer known as 'national treasures.'

Today's blip is the Daibutsu-den Hall which houses the Great Buddha which I blipped back in October. The current structure, completed in 1709,is the largest wooden building in the world and the seated figure inside is the world's largest bronze image of Buddha.

The sister & I had a lovely day and got to see some blossom! Kyoto tomorrow :))
