Kitridding
The Minx kindly facilitated my run, today, dropping me off at Farleton on her way down to Salford so that I could run back to Kirkby Lonsdale via Newbiggin and Hutton Roof. It's a run that seems to involve a lot of long, uphill stretches but I found myself repeatedly surprised by how comfortable it felt and how well I was running.
When I arrived home I had a quick shower and then took Dan and Abi out to Kitridding for lunch before Abi started work at three. Some way off the beaten track, this lovely little farmshop is the perfect place to go during the tourist season. Plus the food is excellent, too.
And in the evening I met up with Milly, who was over visiting friends but who invited me out for an early evening curry (her treat!). She was on good form and we had a lovely time together. She starts a new marketing role in the start up that she works for on Monday, so there was plenty to talk about.
We popped in to see Dan at work, afterwards, and then she headed off to her friends and I went home to do a bit of music.
PS The photo is of the small lake at Kitridding, which, if you have time, makes for a nice pre- or postprandial wander.
