Life, The Universe and Everything
Anyone who has ever thumbed the pages of the great interstellar almanac, The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy, will know that the supercomputer Deep Thought was constructed for the sole purpose of finding an answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe and everything.
After 7.5 million years of number crunching and data processing, it proclaimed the answer to be 42.
The onboard computer in Jacqui's car, although somewhat more primitive than Deep Thought, gave the same answer to the rather less philosophical question "What is the temperature outside?'"
Not surprisingly, Duke and I did not do very much today.
