Rowan

The rowan tree growing to one side of our caravan is laden with berries. It is intertwined with an ash (at first glance they seem like one tree), although like many I have seen this year there are signs of ash die back so it’s time will be limited. It’s going to be upsetting to see the ash trees disappear from our landscape. Fortunately the ash disease (caused by a fungus, hymenoscyphus fraxineus) does not affect rowans.

I took this as we were leaving, J had another appointment at the hospital today.
