Preparing for a trip and under time pressure, I found it hard to devote the head space for photography and the shots I took were consequentially rather casual. The harsh mid-day light reminded me of the difficulties faced in such conditions with deep shadows and high contrast.

Also, now editing on a laptop with less than ideal screen capabilities, it is hard to judge whether I have the colour as I would like.

I notice now, considering the composition, the bird box, which is the only man made item in view and something of a focal point, faces out of the image.
