By the sea!

Woke up to drizzle but by the time we arrived on The Island the sun came out.  P and V suggested a walk before lunch because of the tides and the weather. And it was glorious. It was low tide,  the beach was full and the gardens of the houses above it were full of people lunching and partying.  On the way back we drank cold brew coffee from an excellent stall and wandered in for a delicious lunch.  I provided the gooseberry cake from Diana Henry which is a real winner every time. 

Early evening it got grey and colder and we caught the ferry back getting in around 8.30pm.
