Everyday when Mitch puts Miles into the carseat in the morning he tells him, "No hitting, no crying, listen to your teachers" and he recently added "and don't eat sand" to the end of his daily lecture. Because even though this phase was supposed to end at around 18 months old, Miles still eats lots of sand & chalk when given the chance.
This morning when I dropped off Miles, he ran straight to the classroom's touch table as it was filled with sand and ocean toys. As he was playing he yelled to me, "no eat sand Mommy" and then licked his fingers. Oh Miles....

And then as I was getting ready for his bath I noticed a huge clump of sand behind his ear, as seen in this picture. Apparently Miles had fun outside in between the hail storms today.
