Live Music in a medieval church
An impromptu trip with ‘Arry the camper van. We drove inland up the river to Sånga church to listen to some beautifully played folk music. The picture is taken as we waited for the concert to begin and it’s a slight panorama shot so there’s a little distortion but it gives the right feeling of a light and airy church.
It was so lovely to be listening to live music, and the two musicians were also excited to be playing for a live audience.
Every other pew was closed and there were only three (numbered) places on each pew so they are still taking care not to spread COVID-19.
After the concert we headed upriver looking for a place to stop overnight. We swung off the small road onto a gravel road following a sign for a riverside nature reserve and found a great spot, 50 metres from the water and very quiet. I would have blipped a picture from there but Jan’s picture was up first, and very similar to mine, so I chose the church.
Maybe a swim in the morning.
