Lichen tangle

Went for a walk in the woods today and I liked this tangle of lichen covered branches of what looks like a dead birch tree on the shore a small lochan (Loch nam Brat, above Drumnadrochit) which sported a little grebe. The grebe was too far a away for a decent photo though.
