Let there be light

We are at our caravan lodge and it has been a particularly grey and damp day. But, the weather forecast was for sunny intervals after 5pm and for once it was accurate. So, our decision to go for a walk around Gait Barrows NNR late afternoon was a good one. It was uplifting to see first a smudge in the sky, then the clouds gradually disperse and sunlight emerge. Suddenly there were dragonflies and butterflies around and the bright light gave a completely different perspective to everything. And chased the gloom’s away!
