Brayford Belle

We had day out in Lincoln today. I had to drive, which I hate, but it wasn’t too bad. We went armed with a picnic and found a nice place to sit by the university overlooking the quay. We were amazed by how much Lincoln has changed since were last there. Massive apartment blocks have sprung up all over the place. Our old favourite retail park has all but gone. The university has grown at a tremendous rate.

We took a trip on the Brayford Belle, something that we have never done before. It was lovely on the river and the fact that we were the last ones on the boat meant we got the last seats at the front, that I think were actually the best. We could see everything, big dragon flies, a heron and a family of swans. I also liked seeing all the houseboats.

We had a walk through the city centre for a visit to curtis’s and A enjoyed seeing the trains. Whilst standing on the bridge he even got a toot toot and a wave from the driver!
