New addition.....

....for my I-Spy book of Bugs &Butterflies - a Small Tortoiseshell.
Extra is a montage of other things I found all within a metre or so distance.
Hoverfly caught my eye because it was so large I thought it was a hornet - turns out to be a Hornet Mimicking Hoverfly when I Googled it - even sounds like a hornet. The "green thing" is a Katydid?  and the other butterfly is a Gatekeeper of which there were very many on the wing.  I liked this shot because it looks as if it has been colour popped but it just settled on this silver-leafed plant.  Lovely day again.  Did very little.
