... I joined the shoppers in town this afternoon.

With my street photography hat on, I regularly notice how many men appear to opt for minding the pooch. It could be because they enjoy it more than entering into the excitement of shopping!

Here both man and dog appeared to be trying to spot their 'shopper'.

Sorry I am a little behind in commenting - our tiring return journey yesterday had quite a lot to do with it. I had been hoping to catch up during our train journey north. I was thwarted by an incredibly noisy and uncontrolled small child in the next seat - for almost 3 hours! It wasn't the peaceful first class experience we expected.
