Taking The Pith

My Dear Princess and Dear Friends,

Today was a much quieter day. I worked for a lot of it. I had a big document to write and some data to check. 

Meanwhile, Caro's hand is still sore. I am taking the advice of our osteo to heart and trying to stop her doing things. I will not even let her peel a satsuma, as this is very hand-intensive work.

"Do you want me to remove the pith? I can give you a piece of peel so that you can take off your own pith and put it there. A pith-holder, if you will..."

I just like saying pith. 

In other news, it turns out that Caro is so OCD about food she cannot even bear to watch me peel a satsuma because, "You're not doing it right."

She had to look away until I placed the peeled fruit and pith-holder next to her on the couch. 

We're quite special, as couples go.
