Waiting my turn

This wee thing looks like she's maybe been in a bit of a scrap as the feathers at the base of her beak look sparse and a little dishevelled plus her white eye feathers are all but gone.  Or maybe she's sprouting some new adult growth ready for the spring season ;)

And talking of spring.........the lawn had it's first post mid-winter mow today.  The added warmth in the air was noticeable today, as was the twilight after 6.00pm.  Sunset tonight was 5.46 so only another couple of weeks until the sun is still up after 6.00pm :D  Yay!!!
